The Viking Explorers Rally 2025 fleet, set sail from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on January 6th. The fleet of 22 boats embarked on the 850-mile voyage south to the Cape Verde Islands, which took between 4 to 8 days to complete under exceptional sailing conditions.

The 6th edition of the Viking Explorers arrive in Grenada
By the end of January the first boats started to arrive at Port Louis Marina in Grenada. SY iSea from Denmark, a J46 with captain Klaus Bonde, his wife Gitte and crew Martin and Antoine arrived on Sunday the 29th of January after being 14 days out at sea and the rest of the boats would follow over the next few days

The fifth edition of the Viking Explorers Rally arrived for the second time in Port Louis Marina, Grenada. 18 boats on this year's event, ranging from 34 to 60 feet, from ten different countries had set sail from the Canary Islands on the 6th of January.

The 4th edition of the Viking Explorers started from the Canary Islands to Grenada on the 9th of January, with a delay of 3 days as captains and the organization decided to delay the departure due to the storm Filomena, as named by the Spanish Media.


Viking Explorer Rally Ready to Cast Off En Route to Grenada
The Vikings are coming! Some 8 boats, with 30 crew hailing from Sweden, Norway, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and Canada will cast off from the Canary Islands this month en route to the Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina in Grenadain the 4th edition of the Viking Explorers Rally. Some boats will make a stop in Mindelo, Cape Verde, while others will sail the 2800 miles direct to the Spice island.

La Viking Explorers y el Programa Poseidón reúnen datos cetáceos en Canarias
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 5 ene (EFE).- La travesía Viking Explorers, que partirá con 15 embarcaciones este domingo desde la capital grancanaria hacia Barbados, colabora con el Programa Poseidón de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) reuniendo datos y fotos de avistamientos de cetáceos en las islas.


Viking Explorers Wrap Up 2020 Rally To St. Vincent, Look Ahead to 2021
This year there were 17 nationalities represented among the 20 yachts and 60 cruisers who cast off from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in early January en route to the Blue Lagoon Hotel & Marina in St. Vincent on the third edition of this annual transatlantic rally. An easy two- to three-week crossing under light winds meant the cruisers had plenty of energy to explore St. Vincent.
